About Me
Hi, my name is Syler Behrens.
I am a biologist and geographer. My particular interests are in raster imagery analysis and how it can be used to monitor and map landscape change and ecosystem health in a variety of environments. I graduated with an MS in Geography from the University of Oregon in the Summer of 2018. My thesis was titled, "Monitoring Water Quality in Complex Wetland Ecosystems Using Remote Sensing: Case Study of the Peace-Athabasca Delta". I graduated with a BS in Biology and Geography as well as a geospatial certificate with an emphasis in remote sensing from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in the Spring of 2016. As an undergraduate I was fortunate enough to conduct a wide variety of research in both of my disciplines from doing field work with Buddhist Monks on biodiversity in Cambodia to remotes sensing studies of dead zones in the Mississippi River Delta. Besides my love for academics I am an avid nature photographer, traveler and try to spend as much time as possible outside. For more, visit my LinkedIn Profile. |
